Canang Series

Canang Series collection will highlight for exploration of fabrics: flat embroidery, embellishment, and pleating. A romantic fusion where complex embellishment exploration technique and classic style (for example: boxy shirt, square-shaped dress) come together, maintaining new value as a basic with a twist attire.

 

We take our inspiration from Canang Sari offering, one of Balinese Hindus charming traditions meant to express selflessness, and a form of thanking for balance and peace in our world. Made from coconut leaf, betel nut, and lime, symbolized three creation, perservation, and unity embodied by three Hindu deities, respectively Brahma, Visnu, and Shiva. Even colorful flowers inside are not randomly chosen; they have different meaning and are placed in specific direction. their base powers

 

Being thankful for this amazing year, Studio Jeje invite us to take the essence of Canang Sari philosophy as a symbol of everlasting gratitude towards universe.
