MOERI (2023)
Jakarta Fashion Week
An Ode to Life
Moeri begins with a journey to Wologai Village, Ende, where life unfolds in rhythm with tradition, nature, and togetherness.
Rooted in the lived experience of the indigenous people of Nusa Tenggara Timur, the collection draws from a culture where daily life is inseparable from community, ancestry, and the land. Moeri, meaning “life” in the Ende language, becomes both a name and a philosophy, an expression of existence shaped by kinship and shared presence.
This collection celebrates life in its most sincere form.
Not as spectacle, but as connection.
Warmth emerges through layers of colour and texture.
Meaning unfolds in shared rhythms and inherited traditions.
The past breathes within the present, shaping what continues to grow.
Through STUDIO JEJE’s signature dark tones layered with the vibrant, playful hues of traditional NTT weaving, Moeri reflects the dualities of life itself: festivity and stillness, joy and sorrow, openness and mystery. Each contrast exists in balance, just as it does within human experience.
Every piece carries a sense of devotion where craftsmanship becomes a form of respect, and fashion becomes a vessel for cultural memory.
Moeri is a tribute to life as it is lived
together,
rooted,
and deeply felt.
